Anyone got info on "SPAL" Universal kits? I've been tryna get a good Keyless Entry/ Power Window setup for VP Coupe. but im worried about messin' with the internal circuits and voiding warranty. I talked to my dealer and he said that installing OEM power windows on a VP would cost more than the car... WHAT THE HELL IS THAT? LX is a good 1000-1500 more than a VP TOPS. Anyone got recommendations, Thanks.

the spal kits are 99.00 on ebay and most sites and come with leftside and right side motors, Never get info from dealers unless its absolutly needed. I have installed the the spal powerwindow kit an 42 ford/merk lead sled anyway it was fairly easy the kit comes directions that are pretty simple.

One of my buddies installed a SPAL window kit into his 1988 Camaro that he had. They were nice. Worked great. I think SPAL is OEM in some european automotive brands, maybe Mercedes Benz, Audi...

naa you'll ruin the kit before the car. And yep they are O.E.M. in some foriegn made cars.

i have spal power windows and a DEI 530T to control them, that way i have auto up and down as well as window roll up with alarm activation.

you dont need an alarm at all, or you can use it with any alarm, it's very flexible.

you'll need the spal kit that comes with switches that mount in the car. Some of the spal kit's dont come with switches they are like 99.00 the ones that do are like 30 - 60 dollars more.

oh thats no prob, As long as the alarm or keyless you have has a extra ground or positive output. like aux button on your keypad. Well, wait, what alarm do you have?

What about adding these features to the factory keyless entry system? I'd be nice if the sunroof and windows closed when you lock the doors...

another dealer pointed out that 2k models are more interconnected... such as indicating noises when you have the key in the ignition and the driver door is open etc. do you think any of this stuff could be affected by installing spal kits? i kno that i wont find any of this out unless i do it myself.. these peeps are just telling me that i should keep mah VP in as good condition as possible and trade it in a few years...
has anyone dealt with spal kits on 00-05 models?

all civics do that, it's actually linked to the switch on the door, by where the sticker it, thats where all the noises come from, all vics do that

if u take the door panel off and look in there there is no electronics, speaker wire and thats it

heh... well im still considering it. cuz i would hate to lose money on this damn car. i also gotta do a tranny switch... i didnt know how to drive stick at the time i bought this car. so that's gonna cost a few gs... unfortunately.

Well sorry not to familiar with autopage, but like I said as long as it has a aux output that is not currently allocated, then you should be able to use it as trigger for the window rolldown module. Which dei makes one that is universal. I dont know how reliable this one is but:

coo, than, i know my alarm has a trunk popper button, but it also has a small button on the side that makes the led on the remote light up, no idea what that is
