I'm pretty sure that for a 12 inch woofer, you cut the hole 11 inches in diameter. There is this website CMTtrading.com that has pretty good subs for extremely good prices. I'd suggest checking that out. Not sure about an amp, but if you get subs from CMT, you'll have plenty of money to drop on an amp. Peace.

Wow, you're right, I didn't think about it being American, my bad. Hmm.. Audiobahn- pretty good stuff, I love how they sound, but my friend has already blown 2 of them... but he's an idiot. I don't know about the subs really, i've heard of the Wolfen whatever subs and they are pretty good. I only know of that site, because i ordered a sub box from them... now that, that is one damn good box. Sorry I couldn't help more. By the way, the 6.5 will fit, but... do you have the spacers?
If this is what you are looking at, go for it. http://gotcmt.sectorlink.org/eshop/1...oductCode=0893 . Good subs, great price. Do they not ship to Canada?
I just noticed they only ship to lower 48 states, sorry.

seriously, if you are going to buy an amp, I would go with the more reputable brands like Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, MA Audio, or JL Audio. I bought a Pioneer amp off of Ebay, and it really pushes the 12 I put it on (RF 12" punch HX2), but it gets really hot, like way too hot to touch. Later I puchased a RF Amp (Power 551S) off of Ebay, along with two 10" L5 Subs, and the amp is awsome. I can push the tens, and I mean push hard for 30 minutes every day on my way home (long drive) and the amp never gets hot. It is at least half the size of the Pioneer and only turned a third of the way up! I paid around $500 dollars for the amp and the two 10"s off of ebay and installed them myself with an installation kit from Wal Mart (pretty good deal, $25 for whole 2 amp kit). I was also very satisfied with the seller. And as for Audiobahn subs and amps, I don't know, I've heard mixed reviews, but I know I've never heard anything bad about Kicker, RF, or MA Audio.

Budget amp that'll give you the power you seek: JBL BP series
Budget subs that slam, yet still sound great: Adire audio Shiva, or Image Dynamics IDQ series
Who cares about the flashy neon stuff, you can buy tubes and light it yourself. All that stuff is is a gimmick to sell it to people that know no better.
As far as finding mounting rings, if you're not comfortable cutting them yourself, www.selectproducts.com has them for sale that they CNC cut.

Save your money and buy some real subs.
