capacitor
I've got another thread about how i no gotty enough bass, i was wondering if i get a cap if it'd make it better? my lights do dim when it hits, and the power light on the amp dims as well, think it's worth the investment?
Okay. Get yourself a cap and give rep to the guys that gave the right answer. Thats an easy way to solve your problem. Some will say it will help some will say it wont. You won't get a consensus.
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

a cap will at very least reduce strain on your electrical system so its a plus and it helps with dimming!
i believe the rule of thumb is 1 farad cap per thousand watts
and its definately worth it cus it stores up energy so when ur sub needs it it will take all it wants and the cap will save it right back up

Caps... over rated attempted solution. They do not always work in every situation. True, they have the potential to help with dimming, but why not get something that will definately help such as Big3, battery, or alternator? They are much more efficient at reducing dimming. Also, you're going to get zero increase in bass response. Anyone that tells you that you'll get more bass by adding a cap is a moron and deserves to have a bullet put in their skull.
