Is there no antenna power coming off the factory HU? I thought there was, but I may be wrong.

LJ,

we do have antennas, just not a classic whip antenna.. The antenna on our cars is integrated into the rear windshield.. looks like the rear de-fogger brown stripes but it's at the top of the rear windishield.. However it is not a powered/amplified antenna.. So no antenna power output off the HU...

Cheers

I know we don't have a power antenna. But I thought that I still saw the lead when I was changing my HU, I did say that I could have been wrong did I not?

My question is why did the fuse blow in the first place. I hooked mine up to the cig lighter and it worked fine. I'm worried if you put the remote wire through to the ACC line, something else may blow if you have a faulty wiring set up somewhere else.

double check your connections and the routing of the wire to make sure nothing is shorting out anywhere, if the fuse is blowing as soon as you turn the car on, you probably have a short...The remote turn on should not draw more than about 1 amp...the other question is what else do you have running off of the cig lighter...cell charger, neon, or any other toys?

i connected the remote wire to the cig lighter.. but the wire.. the black n white one.. forgot which i connected it to.. but at the time when i turned the car on, i had nothin plugged in the cig lighter.. but i do have a radar detector and a cell phone charger plugged in there.. got one of those 2-1 cig lighter conencter thingys.. but after i replaced the fuse, everything else still works..

do i hook the remote wire to the metal parts on the back of the cig lighter or something?
