hey guys, remember i was complaining about the sub like just goin kinda crazy? a person said its my power wire.... (8 gauge), he told me to upgrade to a 4 gauge wiring cause the 8 gauge was just a quite too small for my amp RF P5002..... so ima get a new power wire from my friend tomorrow for free and see how it goes....... but the P3 is bangin so hard...... nobody can beleive its just one 15

did u install your sub yourself??? cuz everyone uses 4 gauge wire for the power and 8 gauge for the ground... i hope that fixes the problem.

I think the ground and power wire should be the same gauge.

It is required to be the same guage, is has to be an "equal" loop, you can only have the same amount of power coming in, as you do going out. People do not realize this sometimes and it can often limit your system.

power doesn't flow....current does...

anyways, i think the other guy suggested 8 gauge for a ground because it's a short wire...the overall resistance of the wire isn't very much because it's a lot shorter than the positive power wire.

i would use the same gauge ground just because there isn't much of a price difference. you wont save much by going to an 8 gauge ground since the ground wire is so short.

Proper installation would be to use the same gauge ground wire as power wire. Even with a short run, you will see a voltage drop due to the smaller ground wire.
