I've heard that 8 tubes put out too tight of a bass from a friend. I'm still trying to figure out where I'm going to put this while maintaining a clean look. I'd hate to have a box take up my trunk.

Another thing, I want bass, but I don't want all bass, I want the clarity, just need a good ammount of punch behind it. I don't want mine to sound like these other cars that go down the road with all bass and hardly any music.
Jensen's or one i just looked at was not amplified
I just looked on ebay...all i really find is bazooka's
are they any good? Now I want a bazooka tube...just for a lil extra bass

I have used non-amplified Bazookas in the past. The pair I had were 4", but they put out a decent amount of bass. Nothing competition or mind numbing.
I put a Bazooka RS6A-HP into my g/f's 03 EX coupe. Here is some info from Crutchfield...
Check out the flagship RS Series Bazookas. Designed for maximum efficiency, with Pure Piston woofers and Turbo Cooled voice coils, they play louder than ever, with greater accuracy and power handling.
The RS6A-HP high-powered 6-1/2" bass-blaster steps you up to 150 watts RMS power, right out of the box. It'll give you that firm bass foundation your sound system needs, even if you have to mount it in the trunk. A built-in variable crossover (50-250 Hz, 18 dB/octave) lets you fine-tune your bass output.
Not competition winning bass, but a nice added bump. Not bad for only being 6½" and having 150 RMS. Good enough for the $50 I paid for it from a Cartoys tent sale. Even came with the metal mounting rings.

I heard a bass tube once. I got out of the kids car and never went back in. It was the cheapest thing I have ever seen and lost all respect when I saw a neon blue ring flashing around it. I dont talk to him any more. seriously I dont.

I'm not to fond of the stats on that 6. Keep in mind some people toss the bass tube/box in the car and crank the bass up all the way thinking that massive distortion comming out of the sub is actually bass....
