system wiring question
I just bought 2 audiobahn 10" subs AW1051T http://www.audiobahninc.com/frame2004.html
and i had a autotek amp XS-400.2 http://www.carreview.com/Amplifiers/...3_1806crx.aspx
I did't realize the other subs i was using were not dual voice coils... So my question is will this work and can you give any info on how to wire these. thanks

Heres JL audio's website that teaches you the different ways you can wire your subs.. hope this helps!

what are the specs on the sub then, Becuase I must be looking at the wrong sub!
But is it 4 - 4ohm voicecoils? cuase if it is, then the same applies, Wire all coils on one sub in parallel, then do the same on the other, that leaves you with two wires coming off the sub- one pos and one neg.Follow?

Pick a way you want to wire it and it will show u a picture, not to say yours wasn't a wonderful work of art ex_03,this is just a tad more pretty.

ok i got i idea of how to wire it thanks ChaoticMav and ex_03.... but one last question the positive and negitive that connect the two speakers can i connect them to the positive and negitive that go to the amp so i can run the wires out the back of the box... because there is only 1 + and 1 - on the box and i need three wires to come out of each side of the box

I imagine you mean the wires that go between the speakers you want to connect to the amp instead that way you don't have to drill a hole or bigger one?
If each speaker is sealed in it's own area *if I am reading right*, your gonna have to find a way to connect them, your best bet is to drill a hole JUST big enough to run those wires out the back of one speaker into the back of the other one, don't drill through the wall seperating them, drill through the back and run from one side to another, then make sure you seal around the wires with whatever you can that way the box is still *sealed*.

yes you can do that:
sub 1. 2+ / 2- . 2 + to the terminal inside box and then 2- to the terminal inside box, on both subs. Then run a wire from + to - outside box then that leaves you with 1+ and 1- for the amp?
double check with dmm @ the amp, if you have one.

Ok dont get confused but this sub is only a dual voicecoil not four voicecoil, The extra screws are there just so you add wire but each set of 2 screws is for one terminal- 2 screws for pos. 2 screws for neg on each side of the sub.I actually bought some these at discount to sell for making some extra green, But yea if the my yellow line is wrong just ignore but you understand run one wire from pos on one side to neg of the other, that will leave you with a pos from one side and neg from the other thos are the wires that you run to the terminals inside the box. So when you run a wire from the pos of one connector on the outside of the box to the neg of the other connector, you will have a pos left over and neg left over to run to the amp!

The extra terminals are so you don't have to splice depending on how you are wiring the voice coils. Both + and both - go to the same voice coil, so pick 1 and ignore the other, like so
(note the blue is simply a wire connecting the pos to neg.)
