head unit questions

Has anybody ever hooked up an amp to there stock hu. if so u need to get a converter to hook in the rcas right.
also if i would get another hu. do i have to get a kit to put it in or have someone put it in or does it just go right in.

You'll need a dash kit tp put in an aftermarket HU. That, and a wiring harness. Harness is about $15 and dash kist is about $15 pretty much anywhere.

As far as hooking up an amp to a stock hu, yes, easily done, you need a hi-level/lineout convertor. They're about 15 bucks anywhere.

There are hundreds upon hundreds of threads on these two subjects. Do you think perhaps you can click the "search button" at the top and find the threads for the part numbers?
