When deadening the front doors do you only do the metal parts of the door? What about the interior panel (the plastic one) do you need to do the back of that also? Oh yeah, what about the plastic sheet/liner on the door, do you just remove it all together? If so, do you then cover over the openings that the plastic was covering with the deadening material?
The same question applies to the rear deck also. Just the metal, or do you do the underside of the plastic interior peice also?
Lastly, I read about eDead v1.SE in another post. Anyone out there try it? How does it compare to the rest. Quality/smell/leakage/dampening/etc.

i have edead v1.se and works pretty good. no smell whatsoever. i also have some peel-n-seal on some parts, no smell either.(might smell the first day or 2 but then its gone) for the rear deck i also put some flexible expanding foam between the metal parts to stop the rattle.
You have to remove the plastic liner to get the stuff to stick the metal. Also, you will need to remove it to stick the pads to the outter sheet metal.
As far as the plastic; I glued fibrous carpet padding into the nooks and crannies of my door panel, then covered that with Raammat. It worked well. My only regret is that I didn't use more-there is A LOT of space between the plastic panel hollow areas and the inner sheet metal.

Sure. I used smaller pieces of mats. I realize it doesn't look good, but I read that the stuff if more effective at dispersing vibration when you use several pieces overlapping at angles. Besides-there are a lot of wires, and crap on the door.

I hope to do some more work on it this summer, when I get some more time.
