Once it comes through that grommit, Just run it neatly to the battery pos terminal. Use some wire loom and wire ties and you'll be all set. I

so in the photo i toggled with, the red line area is your power cable right?
the green marks is the way i did mine. it starts from firewall going upward in FRONT of the metal black bar (on my ex, its bigger and thicker).
than i loop it up more til its BEHIND the golden/bronze bar then behind the grey box thing on the upperleft corner on the engine bay.
i ran it like that because i thought that pump looking thing will heat a lot so i tried to avoid that as much as possible.
is what i did fine or should i make some changes?

When i ran my power wire (4 gauge) I covered it in black wire flex loom and zip-tied it to the wire(s) going into the firewall. It doesnt stand out a bit and is verry clean. and how about that extremly considerate gromet from Honda that has a nipple on it that u can cut the tip off of and run your wire through! And in the door jambs (in the door) there is a gromet that allready has a hole throgh it to run wires

is it ok to let the grommet rubber circular piece hang out a little? i have my power wire OUTSIDE of the grommet making a gap. so when i drive in the rain, would water come thru?
heres a sample pic of what im talking about: the green is the power wire and the blue behind it is the gap space.

Jttegx, I would run the wire through the grommet. Under like you have it over time will cause the wire to slowly rub the protective rubber coating off. This could cause some fantastic fireworks one morning though!!!
