Factory MP3 for 2005 Civic

Does anyone know if there is anyplace to purchase the factory MP3 players that come in the 2005 Civic EX Special Editions? I just got a new EX and would like to have the factory MP3 player that comes in the special edition, but I can't seem to find it anywhere to purchase. Thanks in advance for your help.

both of those are very good, and very EXPENSIVE sources

it is significantly cheaper and a better value to go for an aftermarket unit over the stock one

Thanks for the websites... I'll bookmark those for future reference!

I actually purchased an Alpine MP3 player, but I don't really like the way it fits and looks in the dash. It sounds great, I think maybe I just need a little time to adjust to the new look. (it's not as "seemless" as before)

Get used to the looks. The aftermarket HU will sound better, give you outputs, and won't cost a mint like the OEM HU. You'll be happier in the long run, esp with an alpine.

stock decks are terrible at providing clean power. It may look more factory, but the sound quality will suck. You get more options, preouts for amps, and tons more with a good deck. Just pick one that matches. I like the look of mine much better than stock and think it looks cleaner even.

BTW: There is a brand of dash kit called "Best Kits". They are hard to find and expensive, but they look great. When I used one to install into a Nissan 200sx, the aftermarket deck (a clarion) looked like it belonged there. Check them out.

I have been using a Scoshe kit, and I hate it.

Thanks for all the replies! I like the looks of my Alpine now, it's dark grey, similar to the dash, so I think maybe it just took some getting used to. I would love to be able to have the pocket with the door like it had before though.

Is this the one you are talking about:
http://www.tune-town.com/Cars/stuff/...onda_Civic.htm
(3rd down)

It says it's for up the 01-02 civics... does it fit the 05 just the same?

Good choice on the aftermarket HU over the factory ones. You won't regret it!
