Alpine CDA Head unit owners - help
I have the alpine cda-9831 and it was installed by bestbuy.
After the head unit has been on for a while, i hear a buzzing noise from the headunit, not the speakers. It happens regardless of a cd being in the unit or not. Anyone else hear this. it is a very low sound.

I'm not sure if the alpine 9831 has a cooling fan. I know my 9833 has it and it sounds kind of annoying. Anyways, if you got that extended warranty from best buy they should fix it no matter what.

i think it may be a cooling fan issue myself. i installed it at bestbuy but bought it on ebay. the sound is not always there, only after its been on a while and i have been pumping my music. Hopefully after a dedicated 4 channel amp, the headunit stops buzzing.

I dont know if the 31 can do it...I have a 9835. I would assume you can though. Look for an option to turn off the "PWR INT" or something along those lines...it'll be in your manual too.
