Lightbulb sound sys suggestions?

hey, got a 2004 honda civic EX....stock sound system so far, and i dont really want anything totally awesome, just a small upgrade. Like a sub and an amp maybe. Im tryin to save most my cash for performance. Anyone have tips on what to replace, ways to change it, or good places to buy equipment, it is appreciated. thanks

I'd suggest a 4 channel amp, bridge two for a sub, power some coaxials in the doors with the last two channels.

I too suggest a 4 channel amp for fronts and a sub. Cheapest, easiest solution.

I suggest not saving your money for performance upgades. You won't get enough out of the motor to satisfy you. Unless you want to dump a ton of money into it, or do a swap, I'd do things to make it look good.

Anyway, how much you want to spend and what kind of music do you listen to mostly, so we can give more specific suggestiions. I'm inclined to say 4 ch, components up front, single sub out back.

Yeah, I'm not sure why you would want to do any performance upgrades unless its turbo or swap. These are civics, they don't do well for horse power upgrades. Just think a little bit before you spend your dough. I've got a 320hp Grand Prix and I wouldn't even consider putting a K&N in my civic.

it is a turbo. that is my plan for performance. i understand that they are civics and any major speed improvements require major work/cash...but id rather have some more speed than look good. its great have a 320 hp grand prix while my civic is a 130 hp engine, so maybe 100 hp at the wheel. big difference. if my civic was 320 hp then i too would not touch with anything, even simple things like a K & N filter

What type of music you listen to most, what's your budget, and what type of setup you want (SQ or SPL)?
