Question for people with cold winters

Do you leave your subs and amp in the car over the winter, or do you take them out?

leave em, winter CAN make a difference but Just let your car get warm before you let the woofers hit. In NE if i took my subs out during the winter, might as well not have em.

Leave 'em in. I let my car warm up every morning then slowly turn up the volume throughout my drive.

I leave them in. Heck they agitate the air and warm up the interior of the car faster

I leave them in as well... It'd be too much work to take them out and put them in every year

amps are fine, speakers and subs need to be played softly until temp goes up.

yeah I agree, it is too much work to take them out.. although I know ppl who do. But, I left mine in this winter, I just don't turn them on.. too precious to damage

I leave mine in, always have. i'm in upstate ny.

Definitely keep the volume down until they warm up, and be sure to turn your volume down before you get out of your car because it will probably freezing again before you get back in. Actually I don't think i've played my stereo loud since october....the frigid temperatures with the windows up and heat blasting just doesn't put me in the mood for loud music.

This will be my sub and amp's third winter, no problems at all but I don't drive around blasting tracks in winter anyway. Keep the volume low for maybe 10 minutes or so before turning it up.

I usually listen to sports talk radio all winter anyway, so I know what you mean about no mood to pump up the loud music.
