kinda weird situation...

ok so I have my inverter installed its wired to an ACC wire, it works fine and all but I found something very weird....when I turn off my car and remove my key or just leave it in the off position my deck will remain on for like 2-3 seconds then shut off...but here's where I find it weird...it happens if the inverter is turned OFF, if its switched on, then everything shuts off right away when I turn the key to the off position or when I remove it...

annnd before everybody says having my inverter connected to the smaller wires behind the dash will fry the wire or over heat them...I checked with some of the electrical engineers at work, and they said the small wires are more than capable of running the amount of power that the inverter is sucking out....

but being a paranoid *** I recently checked the wire for any melting or black over heating marks and its fine, its been about 2 months since I've had it wired....

anyways back to my issue, what could it be????

maybe the inverter has some large capacitors that are holding current with no place for it to go. That would explain why when its on everything powers off imedialtly. The caps are getting drained bu whatever you have pluged into the inverter.

When its off there is no load on the inverter so the caps hold power until they are drained (2 or 3 seconds I think you said) by stuff pluged into the same circuit as the inverter.
