Those rings you put around cds

Has anyone bought them? Do the help? Are they dangerous to have in your radio?

I think they are supposed to help prevent scratches or something.

d-skin? I saw but it was $10 for one? Not worth it unless you have a special cd. It's like an invisible cover on the bottom and goes around the cd to attach. I would not put that in a slot loading deck tho to be safe.

$10 for one! I guess they expend you to swap it from disc to disc.

Well no, they expect you to buy one for each cd! I was wanting one for my cd in the car that always gets ruined from sliding in the pocket, but I can just burn another for what 20 cents? Also, I wonder what happens when their skin gets scratches on it and then the cd doesn't play with it on anymore.

Yeah. I keep my originals at home in mint condition and burn the albums onto CD-R/mp3 disks for the road. Less crap to carry around that way. Also, if you ever want to sell/trade your originals, they're mint.

Yeah I'd use them.

And if by some freak occurance, I would have the company replace my stuff if the laminate came off in the cd deck. The commercial show it used in a vehicle cd player.
