Putting another battery in...
Okay i searched and I might just suck at searching or I might just have the worlds worst idea but I was wondering if I could put a second battery in the truck for my system (I saw that alot when I searched) but I wanna also put a alternater(sp) with it so that I dont have to put alot of wires going to the front of my car. Like have the alt work off the rear tires. How much work would that be and would it work at all? Thanks guys!

no offense, but thats the most rediculous thing i've ever heard running an alternator off ur tires.. im gonna guess thats never even been atempted before consider running 2 batteries, isolator/relay and a high output alternator should be more than good enough.. If I recall correctly I've heard of running more than 1 alternator (in an engine bay..)
but why do u need that much juice? 2 batteries w/ isolator + stock alt should b fine..
what the hell are you trying to run?

if i was running 5k rms, i'd get an isolator, and a extra battery or 2, plus the one i'd use to run stock stuff, and a high output alternator, u can always add more batteries, and the worst that happens is ur system shuts off and everything else runs fine because the isolator would protect ur stock stuff and battery for powering it, however; this probably isnt the cheapest and might not even be the best way to do it.. I dont really know..
