Trunk popper delay with aftermarket alarm?

Hey guysm just wondering if someone on here can help me out with an alarm question. The way I have my trunk popper wired now, it pops the trunk if I just press the button on the remote. This is with a Python 800ESP alarm and the Accord latch assembly. I would like to make it so that I have to hold the button for a few seconds before the trunk popper is activated. Does anyone know how this could be done. I have some knowledge of wiring and relays and all that other good stuff...just don't know how to do this. If anyone out there knows how, please help me out. Thanks.

bakuretsu is an unknown quantity at this point
Do you know if, when you hold the button on the remote, it sends a continuous signal, or just a single signal? There may be no way for the receiver to know that you are holding the button. You might have an easier time making it open when you press the button more than once. Although I have no idea how

Find someone who is good with electronics and have them build you a circuit that, when it's triggered a certain number of times by the trunk popper output on the alarm receiver, sends a signal out the other end that can actuate the trunk popper device.

That's just my $0.02.

I think I have it figured out, not 100% sure though yet. When my alarm was originally installed, my remote start was getting powered from channel two which I believe needs to be held for at least 1.5 seconds before it sends out a signal. Think I need to swap the wires from channels 2 and 4 and hopefully that will fix the problem...waiting on a few other things first though cause I'd rather do it all at once.
