Well my deck is broken and I have a gift card to future shop so I was looking for a new deck. I thought the




This unit intrest me because it always shows artist + track on the display, can be seen in direct sunlight (my premier 850 claimed this but didn't) and can even be seen off axis. A big thing I liked was the fact that it loaded mp3's a lot faster then previous models. It also followed alpine's style of everything on the left.

However it has a 3 band paramatic equalizer as opposed to a 5 band which is what my deck currently has. Am i going to notice a difference? Would you guys recommend any other head units @ futureshop.ca ???

I see it also has 4v pre outs, would my JBL 601.1 take those?

running a set of components in the front some kappas in the back (both seperatly amplified) two alpine type r 12's capped with a JBL 601.1 powering it.

how often do you use your equalizer? I bet you won't notice ant difference with the loss of adjustability. THe preamp output voltage should be fine. sounds like a good plan!

I mess around with the "audio" feature a lot, is that the equalizer or is it that werid one where you have to hold down audio for a few seconds.

is 4v standard? or better then most decks

meh Im getting employee discount at fs plus I got a $500 gift card. im getting it at a pretty good price too. I would get an alpine but there really
overpriced here and fs dont sell em.

Besides that its practicle because the big Jog Dial makes it easy to find mp3's and I hear the loading time on this deck is phenominal which is exactly what I need.


When they say 5 bands do they mean?
