Random Thoughts...
I'm sitting hhere bored at work with a sinus infection so my head hurts and the medication I'm taking is making pretty drowsy/stoned....so It lead me to thinking..yes thinking of all things. Here's some thoughts/observations I've come up with in no particular order.
90% of todays Punk Bands are skater bands who almost all strive to sound like greenday.
For a song to become a number one hit all it needs is 1 catchy verse or chorus.
Music these days really sucks. The art of song making seems to have died and was replaced with infantile catchy jingles. What every happened to actual good songs and not this catchy Pop crap?
Even So-called Metal these days is just pop with some crunch, like Korn, Limp Bizkit(which they make a pill for now), Poppa Roach, P.O.D, and soo many others. It's just catchy verses or Chorus' with some guitar crunching.
Some and I mean very few Rap songs actually tell a story and have some meaning. The rest is either wanna-be gansters or chrome teethed wanna-be ballers.
Dance music has become so irritatingly repetetive to the point that if you could hear on;y the baseline almost all songs are the exact same.
I can't beleieve that everythings "been done" to the point where creativity itself has become exhausted into a void of new Jingles in a sad attempt to hide the fact that good music is dead or on life support...
Off music and onto sports.
Hockey died the day they called the first time-out for a commercial break. Same for NBA. Okay play goes out of bounds.. stop game, cut to commercial..Okay back to game, ref blows whistle play resumes... WTF..??
BaseBall should not be a televised sport. in the 3 hours it takes to complete 9.2 minutes of action I could have watched 6 episodes of the Simpsons or that 70's show. Or a Touring Car race, a GT race and half a Champ Car race...
Off sports onto women.
Well, for the most part I've come up with the term "floating heads" Actresses and singers alike generally have overly made-up faces and from the neck down generally all look the same, skinny, "b" cup ribs, some muscle tone with no meat on their bones. I don't see how people find most of these women attractive. I like ribs with BBW sauce, I don't like sac-o-bones women. Society, or magazines for the most part have caused so much mental damage to women around the worl telling them anything but a tall skinny ribby small breasted woman is imperfect.
SO many girls hate the fact that they have a little junk in the trunk. Because magazines make fun of big booty girls. But will you ever hear a guy complain..hell no!!. Same for a girl with some curvyness and I'm talkin 32 , 26, 32....I'm talkin 38, 30, 38 [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG].. and what's with all the damn makeup. SO many actresses and singers look horrible without it, yet so many girls idolize them and want to look like them. It's disgusting.
Sometimes I go hang out at the mall and see 12 year olds with their faces covered in crap. Or worse, middle aged women wearing make-up and looking just plain scary.

Rep Power: 0 tha'ts pretty stiff... i wish i had 11 hour shifts..in my job.. i'd be doing nothing for about half the shift and get paid

But I agree with MOST of the stuff you wrote.
The only thing that I have to write about is the basketball and commercials...IF I understood you correctly..
The commercials are either 30 secs to 1 minute long. And in basketball games you have 30 second timeouts and full time outs which is 1 minute. Commercials don't control the game, the game controls the commercials.
But however, they do have this stupid thing that happens sometimes and it's called referee's time out. And I think the only reason why they call referee's timeouts is because either teams haven't called for a time out therefore no chance for the advertising to come on.
I stay true to the game that's why I have to comment about it..
