battery terminals

I haev an 03 Silverado. I dont know if ya'll have seen this but the battery terminals are rapped in this plastic surrounding. I was trying to connect my amp power wire but i can't unless i can get that plastic off. Anybody know what im talkin about or have any suggestions. Thanks.

my friend's sunfire had a similar problem.. i just used a knife and cut the plastic/rubber piece around the nut and then put it together.. dunno if that helps but if u cannot find a way, u might have to buy another terminal that will support more connections.. good luck!
