audiobahn amplified subwoofer (ABASS120P)
audiobahn amplified subwoofer (ABASS120P)
I know you guys are all about competition level audio equipment but I just need something to fill in my low end.
Here is what i have now
Alpine 9833 HU
Polk db690 (rear) and Polk db650 (front)
The high power of the HU gives a good output but i need more bass. Not crazy gangsta' bass but just something to fill in the low end.
To avoid frustration and a whole mess of crap in my trunk, I was thinking about an all in one amplified subwoofer.
Specifically this one:

Audiobahn ABASS120P Amplifier + 12" Subwoofer + Ported Enclosure by Audiobahn
12" Amplified, Ported Loaded Bass Enclosure
RMS Power output: 120 watts
120W RMS MOSFET Amplifier
Remote Bass Control ****
RCA & Speaker Level Inputs
Adjustable Low Pass Filter: 40Hz - 250Hz
Adjustable Bass Boost: 0-18dB
High Quality MDF Construction
Spun Aluminum Venturi Port
Gray Carpet Covering Covering
Chrome Flame Grille
Single 12" Poly Injected Carbon Cone
EPDM Rubber Surround
60 oz. Strontium Magnet
2" 4 Layer ASV Voice Coil
Bumped Back Plate
Extended & Vented Pole Piece
Frequency Response: 25Hz - 20kHz
Includes Complete Installation Kit
How would this compare to like the infinity's basslink? I heard bazooka tubes are terrible.
The thing is, is the 120rms amplifier not powerful enough to power the subwoofer. Would it bottom out easily? would I be able to hear it from my trunk?
Any advice would be appreciated.

I've never heard that before, but the Audiobahn I've heard, I haven't been impressed. I want to say that the Basslink will sound better. You can get the bass link for just a little more on ebay I think. What's your budget?
man, sorry to say this but that sub sucks. I had almost top of the line subs from audiobahn, and they are horrible. It gives you s*itload of bass, but sound quality is horrible... get the basslink. Can't go wrong w/ infinity. My friend has it in his SRT-4 and it sounds really nice
Audiobahn AW1206T Flame Q series. Not the best Audiobahn sub, but definately better than the one you're thinking about. If you don't care about sound quality, go ahead and buy the Audibahn. Depends on what kind of music you listen to. I say save up a few more bucks and get the Infinity Basslink.
