what could be wrong with my headunit???

what could be wrong with my headunit???
OK so i go to my car and the stereo is workin fine
two hours later i go and start my car and the music is playing at low volume/att and NONE of the buttons on the face of the unit are lit or work, also the screen doesnt show anything
it was playin couldnt turn it off or anything just was playin, lucky it was a good cd
later i go back out the headunit has a hidden face the kind that flips around when off and then back to the face when on
well i does that just fine when ever i start the car but now no music plays at all just blank headunit
what do u guys think

Rep Power: 329 I would suggest going to a car audio shop and having them send it out. My local shop sends headunits out to a company called United Radio that does the warranty repairs for Alpine and several other major companies. If your unit is out of/exempt from the warranty that it will probably be around $120 to fix it from a contracting company like United Radio.

Rep Power: 306 I looked in the cabinet quickly and the one unit that has everything, harness, can, remote, face, is the KDC-V7017. It worked well up until the ribbon quit working and it would not display anything.
