lcd and dvd dumb question?!?!? maybe?
aight so i did some searching. I am thinking about picking up a screen from a member here that is molded into the double din area in the stereo. Right now i am powered off a kenwood unit but it doesnt have visual out, so i am going to have to buy a dvd unit or something.
my question is say i buy a separate unit and connect it to a tv, when i start the car up will it display anything from the unit (i.e. what music i am playing or visual effects similar to visuals off itunes and such?) or do i have to play a dvd for any image to go through?
second question i have an extra xbox laying around and was thinking about moding it into a super box and then using it as the video source booting it up when i start the car and then running programs off the harddrive? anyone have one of these and how does the sound, sound coming from a video game system? thanks!

A car DVD player will have video signal all the time, you can use it to play MP3's or whatever and see the titles and stuff on the screen
yea u can always get a seperate unit to play DVD's, MP3, cd's, or just use a PS2.... as long as it has video out... you can hook it up to ur screen. And as long as it has audio out you can hoook it up to ur headunit......
