get the type-x cause they sound great at any amplification, the type-r's will need a mid amount of amp power, and the type-s will be decent with alot of amp power. that is all

its all a matter of bass...if u want incredible bass, go with a w7, u could get an 8W7 to sound louder than a 2 12 RF or alpines unless u like the type X they jus came out with. but to my knowledge if u really want a system, go with JL Audio...they got the best on the market..IMO

S is a good sub, only needs 300w rms will run ok on less tho, has decent SQ can be had for a little over 100 like I said in the above post.. its good.. If I didn't have my Rs, and I didnt want a ton of bass I'd get 1 S and a 300w amp.. or an R either way, they're really close.. prolly go for S cause it looks a bit better

i use to have the S..it was pretty decent with minimal amout of amp power. It sounded loud with a ported box but not the HUMP kinda bass where you can feel it...that's when i switched to L7's...YIKES !

i guess they're good if you don't like bass that much and you just want little beat. but i have a type r and it sounds a lot better than that.
