Maybe blown amp...not sure? Fuse? What?
Ok so my battery died due to someone leaving the dome light on for like 3 days. Have no idea who that could have been but I'm going to kick his *** if I find out. I'm keeping an eye out.
So anyway...someone uses their battery charger and got power back to the battery...so I was off!! My HU got reset so I had to adjust all the settings on it..it's a pioneer 5500 mp3 player. I like it... I have a kenwood 729s amp (yeah I know it's not the greatest), and some tornado subs 12" subs (yeah I know they're not the greatest). So when I go to adjust my subs, there are none. The subs have sound coming out of them..but no power going through amp so they're barely being pushed. Weird eh? No power light on AMP but sound coming out of subs...hmmm. Well whatever. Just noticed this last night..no time to check fuses yet. You think that's the problem? I have an inline fuse in the engine compartment.

How can ac voltage be coming out of your amp if it's not on? That in itself is a problem. But anyways, check all your wires, check all your fuses. Test the resistance in your speaker wires, your power cable, your remote, and your ground. I would toss any wires with more than 0.02 ohms of resistance. Test the RCA cables, maybe they got pinched or something. Test for continuity with the positive and negative in them. Everything can be done with a digital multi-meter. If you don't have one, buy one. They're a little pricey but if you have a system, it's a must have.

It was crossed wires..apparently, at the body shop, they took the box out of the trunk for some reason and put it back in and didn't know what the hell they were doing. I'm back to boomin'...
