can any one help me out.
my amp was stolen and now i am replacing it. b/c the amp was stolen i don't know what wires are + and what wires are -. to help you out with your answer, one wire is silver and one wire is gold looking. i tried to trace it back to the speakers but my mb quarts don't have +- on them

If you can't tell which terminal is bigger/smaller, or this happens again:
Connect the + end of a AA battery to one speaker terminal and the - end to the other terminal.
If the cone pushes out, then the + speaker terminal is the one connected to the +end of the AA and the - speaker terminal is the one connected to the - end.
If the cone pulls in, then you've got the terminals reversed

another question. once i know what wire is connected to the + end of the speaker and what is the -, do i plug the + wire into the - slot on the amp. and the same thing for - into the +
or do i take the wire that i know is the pos end and put that into the + slot on the amp
i know this is a dumb question but i kind of forgot. thanks for the help
