Things that annoy you in the I.C.E world . . .
I had to rant about something, so I thought it might be funny if everyone posts those little annoyances they have within the I.C.E world. You know, stupid things people do with there audio/video. I'll start:
I was driving home from softball tonight when I stopped at a red light. In front of me, there was BMW with headrest screens in the rear-seat headrests. WTF? Is that supposed to be for the people in the car behind you? DId you ACTUALLY spend money for screens so people behind you in traffic will see? People that waste money on stupid sh*t like that really **** me off!

People who spend way too much on their system and have somebody else install it. I work way too hard and put in way too much time to be showed up by a guy with a fat wallet.
I also hate bad wiring

How about people with all four windows down on a nice december day just so they can flaunt their ghetto-bass.
Or people that buy 3 12W7s and power them with a $50 Pissocrappo Amp from the one-day sale at the expo center.
Yes, it's an Acura EL

I hate when a car full of little 16-y-o kids in a beat-up civic with a system will pull up next to anyone with a modded car at a light, crank the system, and just sit there and stare at you, looking for affirmation that they indeed are a car full of pimps (funny, all guys, not a chick in there), all the while bobbing their heads to the latest Eminem track. They look like a hip hop version of Night at the Roxbury. I just roll my window up and look straight ahead, it's friggin annoying, cause if you don't acknowledge their pimpness, they peel out on you in an attempt to assert dominance with speed, cause you didn't "let" them win with their ghetto system.

I had a guy up at my shop once; his ground wire was 6 feet long and went from his amp to his door hinge up top (later model jimmy) and about 12" of insulation was stripped off and wrapped around the hinge. he wondered why his amp wasn't working. LOL

Probably the DVD player in the dash and the large booming noise coming from the trunk. Maybe I'm paranoid but I'm sure others in here have driven past their homes to make sure the teenage idiots in the 93 hatch aren't following you to jack your ****. I try to never bump in my neighborhood but people will follow you there.

I had my system installed because my car was brand new and I didnt wanna fvck anything up, and if something did get ****ed up, someone else would fix it.. and I didnt know enough about my car at the time, If I had the time to do it now, and a few pages of DIYs (for tips) Im sure I would install my own.. however I have helped and done a few installs for friends.. so I've done plenty of work.. Im happy with my system, except for the problem I just posted a thread on.. but Im working on it myself.. I suppose if I just cant figure it out I'd go ask for advice but I wont pay anything.. I've changed things since my install but even so I can probably still go back and have them figure out this problem for me, since they did the original install

basically all I'm saying is, it's not always bad for someone to pay to have an install done, and overall mine only has some minor things I would have done differently myself.. (the guys at my local CC know what they're doin)
i hate when:
- vans park beside me
- kids with daddys car and stock system pump it all the way to the point the sound is distorted... what have you proven by showing me yout stock system?! Listen to your music at a comfortable volume, not full blast thinking im impressed.
- When you let people in to traffic and they dont thank you just because you're a young driver in a civic...
Ive witnessed it twice where I let someone in, no appreciation or "thank you" gesture at all, but then they switch to a next lane and open their window to thank the person who let them in... Made no sense to me.

i also hate when someone pulls up next to me with a stock/POS system, then gives me that look like "what?"...i have a Panasonic head unit in the dash, but i have a DIN-sized DVD/MP3/etc player in the center console, and all it takes is a push of a button on the audio/video switcher to switch sources and unleash Bass Mekanik V5.0 (#9 "Bassalistic" is the best...i think that's the one...)...granted, my system isn't a showstopper, but the BX1500D and the pair of S12L7's have a pretty good record when it comes to stop-light dB drags, etc...i'm 20, so inherently i'm the ususal DD to and from the clubs, and it's funny as hell when i pull up next to someone leaving the parking lot, and they try to impress me or the passengers with the 2 Jensen 10"s in their '72 Pinto or something, and they get own3d...one of the simple pleasures in life...

BTW, They did not make Altimas in '89

I hate it when people do not pay attention to detail. If you want to show off and take pride in your work, make sure the details have been covered and it's up to par.
Take for example, the "custom gauge pod" that I made today. You will see in a few minutes what I mean when I get pics uploaded, but even that took me like.. a while to do

I hate when you pull out a head unit only to find a bunch of 1.5" wires all electrical taped together. By the time you get the new headunit in, your hands are covered in tape-tar and your knuckles are bleeding from the edges of the dash!

when something is wrong with their system, and before they come to you for help, they try to fix it themselves and make things worse!
