Which speakers would you choose!!

I haven't heard a lot of speakers, so I'm not really in a position to offer good advice. Not many people on this message board will be, I'm afraid (though some will).
My suggestion would be to choose one of the less expensive speakers (such as the JLs or the CDTs) unless you have a reason to believe the Perfects will be worth the extra money.
In any case, I doubt you will be upset with any speakers you buy, assuing they are recommended by folks here as good speakers. (Which, of course, is more reason to buy the less expensive ones...)

It really depends on what you are wanting from your speakers. If you're seeking more highs, the Perfects will fit your wants. If you're wanting punchy mids, the perfects might not be as good a choice for you, as they are somewhat lacking in the midrange frequencies. It really depends on what you are seeking from your speakers. It's hard to judge what to recommend, not knowing what you are seeking. But, like several others have said, it's also hard to recommend to you, as my ear for response from speakers is more than likely different from yours. It'd be best if you found an audio shop in your area that carries the components you are considering (or several audio shops, as one will probably not have all of the choices you are considering). You said you have time, use it wisely, and carefully research what you are considering spending money on. There's really no sense in wasting money buying something you haven't really listened to, because it appeals to your price range. Even if it means you have to wait a little longer (whether it's from going to places testing them, or having to save a little more money to get what you really want), in the long run, it'll be worth it to get it right the first time.

My ears aren't the greatest... (huh?).. so maybe I just don't have the "ear" for music like some people do, who knows. So, to probably answer my own question on this topic I could say to myself...
"Get either the Polk or the Infinity, after all... you probably won't tell the difference!"
I do think I've narrowed it down to the Infinity Perfects though and I have the funds to get them off Ebay so I may do that after all. Ebay has them cheaper, even after shipping and this holds true for most things. Just be careful who you buy them from. Make sure they have a good rating!
Well, thanks for all the input but I think I made up my mind. Finally!
Oh yea, they will be amped!...
Just in case I didn't mention it.

I can throw this out...
I do like mid-range sound so I am looking for a front speaker that will give me that and to stay at around $200 or less.
My current Panasonics sound better now that I have amped them but they still lack bass. They produce highs very well though. Now that I have my subs hooked up I have the deep bass but I'm missing the stuff in the middle. I think a nice set of mid-range fronts later down the road will help.
I know, I will go out and try to listen to them when I can.
Thanks.

frequency response of your speakers up front is also very very install dependant. proper sound deadening, mounting, eq'ing will bring out that missing lfe
