Stereo Mounting Kit

Ok I just bought me a 2001 EX Sedan and love the car.....but the fatory stereo sounds like crap! I will not install subs, so don;t even suggest it. My previous car was a Lumina and I had a Pioneer system in it I pulled out before trading it in. The problem is it is the it is the GM/Chrysler specific model that fit in the factory opening.

I have searched for mounting kits for the Civic, but do not see one that would accept this stero unit. Is there one made or am I just holding onto a dream?

Thanks in advance!

I don't think there are any mounting kits that accept GM model radios, just the more aftermarket ones. You'd either have to be creative and fabricate on on your own (or work around it), or geta nice aftermarket HU.

There are no 1.5 din kits to my knowledge, but you could make a double din kit work with a little customizing.

Problem is the HU I have is only 2.5 years old and I love the thing....also the fact it cost me $300 doesn't help. I will just try selling the unit I have and buy a 1 DIN unit! Thanks for the help everyone!
