Friend just bought a Sony CDX-M9905X

And I guess it plays video...so there's a parking brake cord that must be spliced to the parking brake switch wire.

How do you bypass this?

I dont think he will get pulled and get a ticket for such a small video screen...I would understand for one of those LCD screens but this is just the 1" by 4" screen (or whatever small size )

find out whether our parking brake switch is positive or negative switching.

then just hook the parking brake wire on your sony to ground or ACC, take your pick.

Ground the parking brake wire and it will play the video for you. Same trick works for in-dash screens.

The video on the screen has stopped all together. I mean the screen doesn't turn on at all. But there is power only button that works is the eject button

Anyone know what could be wrong with it

check the acc fuse. if thats good, check the acc connection to the radio. if thats good, check the wire itself, using a test light. make sure it's at +12V with the car on.
