type-s 6.5" components are super easy to install, they include spacers specifically for a 7th gen civic in the box. I recommend these to everybody and nobody has complained yet.
For the rear deck.... hard to say... Type-S 6x9 probably has a better chance of fitting than a Type-R, but that is just my guess assuming that the Type-R's have a deeper mouting depth.

i got type R 6x9's and type X... thatz right, type X, components for the front. the hardest part about the 6x9's is removing the rear deck. other than that, they fit perfect for me. they come with spacers, but i didnt need to use them. the components fit also, but i had to use the spacers to. its easy though. type X is deeper than type R and S, so i'm sure that they will both fit the same.
