I'm installing a siren thingy on my car, but I'm having trouble getting the cigarette lighter out [for my positive]. I searched, of course, but got mixed answers:

Some were to just push really hard, others were to remove the cig lighter with the whole console.

Need help, please, thanks.

You need to remove the horseshoe shaped piece that has the cigarette lighter, blank panels, and wraps around the sides of the console... remove the small ring around the shifter, lift the larger piece in the middle of the console up by sticking ur fingers in the notch underneath in the middle by the cupholders, remove 2 screws on either side near the cup holders, pull the sides out which are just held in by clips, and then pull the whole thing up and out.

You can tap into your cig lighter wire from there
