Does anyone know...
Does anyone know if it is even possible to hook up an mp3 player to our factory decks? I still haven't bought an mp3, but looking towards one of the Nomad Zen models; would it be possible to hook up that model (or even any kind of mp3 player for that matter)?
If it is possible, has anyone ever done it? If so, what do you need and how do you do it?
Thanks for your help in advance...

FM Aux sucks, or at least it did for my friend. Sometimes it would get messed up, and the quality wasn't so great.
You can buy something you plug into the back of the factory deck that will you a pair of RCA inputs, but I can't remember where you buy it from. Try search Google/Ebay for "honda aux input" or something. You might also talk to your dealer. I asked the sales guy when I was buying my car if I could plug in an mp3 player, and he said I could as long as I had an adapter. (I ended up getting an aftermarket HU, so I never bothered to ask him where to get the adapter.)
Just a word of caution: They are not particularly cheap. I believe my friend paid in the neighborhood of $50 for his.
Disclaimer: I know this is available for the '04 EX (my car), and the '03 Si (my friend's car). Don't know if your particular car has one available, so double check before you buy anything.

the part you just described is an FM modulator.
There is a plug that takes your factory cd changer input plug and converts it to aux inputs. I dont remember where to buy it, but if you search this forum you will find the part number and the site to order it from.

The problem with FM mod (well wireless), is that the transmitter needs to be near the antenna (5ft-ish). With my car (not sure if 01-03 had rear glass antenna) my antenna is integrated into the rear glass, so it's quite a distance for an FM mod to travel. If the antenna is on the fenders, then the quality will be much better.
One option you have is to use a wired FM mod, basically the same idea as the wireless, except that you plug your antenna into the modulator, and plug the modulator into the deck. That's a good way to go, except you will still get a bit of noise.
Best way is to use an actual aux input by getting the device that Mystic3030 (who btw has an extremely hot chica in his avatar), and hooking that up. When I switched from FM modulator to AUX for my DVD player, the sound quality difference was AMAZING.

(I didn't realize they made wired FM aux, too, though. But it makes sense...)
