Accesory Switch
i want to have an Accesory switch, a switch which i can flip to activate all my car accesories even if the key is not in, how exactly do i do this ?
thanks
thanks
go out and buy a switch, single pole single throw will do, install it somewhere in the car with two leads coming off traveling to the steering column, 14 gauge or better.
open the steering wheel column, drop down teh wires aroudn the ignition, you will see a black wire with a red stripe, and a black wire with a yellow stripe. tap these two wires with yoru two, doesnt matter which to which.
flick the switch, and all your accessories come on! watch yoru battery level.
if it doesnt work, whoops, I meant white wire with red stripe, not black wire with a red stripe. retap (yellow t-taps work well here) and try that one instead.
