Question HO Alternator Online Dealers?

Anyone know of any online dealers that sell HO Alternators for our Civic's?
The fuse rating for all my amps = 220amps

I haven't tested my system out yet on the stock Alt/Battery but I'm thinking its not going to handle 2000w rms, and I'd rather have the additional electrical overhead there so I don't have to worry about dimming or my car charging...

Thanks,
ReeBooT

Ohio Generator makes one for $660US it's a 160amp hot rated alternator. 180 cold.

Also dominick Irragi makes alternators for out cars up to 220amps but then you get into serpentine belt slipping problems. I had an Ohio Generator alternator with external regulator for 2 years and no problems it's all you'll ever need. DOn't worry about fuse ratings. Amps will only ever draw near that power at full output with a sine wave. With music the most you'll draw is about 40amps with that setup. but your ears will hurt like a serious **** at that point

$660 seems like alot of money...So you are saying that in my 220amp setup that I have, you can only see it drawing 40amps? So should I not even consider at HO alternator?

I do have a 5 farad AlumaPro Cap that I will be hooking up to my JL 1000/1...

your car draws a hair over 55 amps with all acessories on, you have 15 amps of leeway. which is plenty enough to power your amps and eventually make you deaf. A Capacitor won't do sweet f%$k all except hide an electrical problem. Many people have run JBL1200.1's and 50Wrms x4 amps without any problems except some dimming. Unless you crank it all the time you shouldn't worry about it too much.

$660 isn't that expensive for a 160amp alternator with external regulator. Just see how much a new OEM honda alternator is what you can do is find a new scrapped accord and pickup it's 110amp alternator for about $150 and shoehorn it in your civic.

read the listing WILL NOT FIT CANADIAN MADE CIVICS... also that amp is internall regulated. It's gonna get really hot and power compression and belt life will go to crap.

seeing as pretty much all 4door civics are made in Ontario, which have completely identical engine bays to the Ohio made civic coupe's I don't think this is a proper listing.
