Sail panel removal
How do I remove the sail panel? Just pull it off?
Where did the door panel removal DIY go, I'd like to see it... I hate this new site, all the good content was lost

Yup, just yank!
Door panel removal for a sedan (don't know if you have a sedan or not, but it is probably similar for a coupe). (EDIT: It is also for a 2004 EX, in case that matters).
- yank off the sail panel.
- Behind the door handle is a small panel with a little slot at the top. Insert a small (1/8" or smaller), flat screwdriver into the slot, press down, and pull toward you. The panel should come off easily (as in, no damage).
- Behind the panel are two screws you need to unscrew.
- In the door handle itself are two screws, too. To get to them, you need to yank off lower part of the handle. Not sure how best to describe the process... just try pulling a bit in different places until you get it off.
That's it. Remember to pull out the plug for the electric window(s) and lock(s) if you have electric. And don't twist/pull the door handle too much to get it through the slot. I somehow busted up my lock a bit, so it doesn't lock/unlock correctly unless the door is closed (which, luckily, is when I want to lock and unlock it). You can actually take off the handle from the little metal pole by unsnapping a small plastic piece from the metal. Then the handle will slide right off.
Have fun.

Thanks
Do I have to remove the part of the armrest that contains the power window and lock controls? Any other hidden screws?

not exactly. you remove the bottom half of the armrest, there are 2 screws deep inside the holes you remove (not the surface ones). there are only 4 screws total to take off
