hey guys, my cousin gave me a pair of SPW 2 1/16 gauges but when he had it on his car he did'nt had them connected he just had the wires to the lights connected so when he turn his lights on the gauges will turn on also cause he did'nt had the wires, so he was trying to install them but all he did was pop my fuses like 5x the back of the gauges has 2 wire, 1 black and 1 silver or black I think... Imma put them on A pillar, do you guys know what wires I have to connect the gauges to so they can light up when I turn the switch for my light? Thanks.

the gauge will have a light bulb inside, with two wires. it shouldnt be directional, so you can ground either one you like. the other cna be hooked up to ANY source of the interior lights. I chose the hazard light switch for ease of installation and proximity to my own gauge.

in your case, you may wish to find the wire in the gage cluster.

take a trip to your neighborhood friendly dealership, and ask if they cna help you find the dash light wire behind hte gage cluster, they have always been very helpful to me finding exact wire colors. it was in fact they who gave me a printout of the dash wiring so I could find the light wire.

tap into that wire with the other side of yoru bulb, itll be +12 volts when on.

illumination wire is red/black, if you have an ashtray, it is easily found there.
