Alpine Pulse Touch Finally OUT!
i went to my local car audio store Ultimate Audio n they just got in the new Alpine IVA-D300, aka Pulse Touch flip out DVD.
Incase u dont know, not only is this a touch screen, but when u touch it, it feels like there is an actual button on the screen due to its pulse technology.
This things plays DVDs and Cds in the same unit, as well as Mp3's n all that stuff.
The place i went to wa askin $1300 installed. Not bad at all.

saw it a few weeks ago....feels like its shorting out when you touch it. i didnt like it...just beep when i hit the right button or stick with the row of buttons under the screen with menus on screen that corespond..
**** all that ****...after getting my car broken in, and all those members on this site who had flip out dvd players who got jacked, i'm never gettin somethin w.o a detachable face...
that piece of technology is cool none-the-less, if this world were crime free (YEAH F'CKIN RIGHT) i'd get one ^_^

Rep Power: 300 just wondering but what's so great about having TV's in the car?
i understand why we would want to have a nice stereo but why TV's? stereos keep us entertained during commutes to and from work but TV's are not watchable while driving. do you guys seriously sit in your parked car for hours just to watch a DVD?
only good reason i could think of was to have a tv to keep kids entertained during long trips but i think most of us here dont have kids.

my friend, you can buy faceplates on ebay for 10-20 bucks. youll still get your stuff jacked regardless...

Not that I do it.
tvs in the car are the same reason for having a system at all....cause you WANT IT. everything on our cars works fine in stock trim..if you can get a dvd player, nav, sat radio, mp3, and have your radio have a 7 inch display...go for it...i wish i had one

thing i dont like about touch screens is your always touching the screen, and it will always be dirty..... Not to mention after a few years of use it will prolly show wear on the screen like some of the older eclipse touch screens used to

Rep Power: 0 why would someone want a $13,000 flat screen T.V.? Because they can. Why does a dog lick............. never mind. It's 2004 not 1950 and having record players in your car.....that was a big thing back then,,,,,,, and reverbs.........you only live once, have some fun in life and stop asking why.
