well one day i got bored so i went an opened up some new subs, i hooked 1 12'' infinity 12.1d to my stereo... ( that jvc with 460watt power ) and like i was testing the sub... and its goes " ZZZZZTTTT " its like something is hitting it, but i checked an nothin hitting it.. so what does that mean??
do you have a sub box?
if it is, your probally leaking air.
to stop that, add some poly-fill stuffing in it to stop the air flow.
+ your subs will sound alot better.

polyfill doesnt help a leaky box.
9 times out of 10 a leaky box is caused by air leaking from around the woofer. my favorite fix for that is gorilla snot (strip caulk), weatherstripping works in a pinch as well.
the other time a leaky box is caused by poor construction, and jsut needs a bead of silicone around all the edges to fix.
good call though, if the buzzing noise isnt being emitted from teh subwoofer itself, not coming from behind the dust cap, then its definitely posiible its a leaky box
