I kind of had a little difficulty deciphering the post, one because I don't know what w/e means. But, let me fervor a guess, and see if I understood or not: Your front speaker periodically quits playing, it started this weekend. You want to know if a crossover would help?

If that is correct, did not a crossover come with the component set? Is everything hookde up right? Did you connect by crimping, or did you connect with solder and heat shrink tube? Are any wires shorting out by having naked places on them touching body panels when you hit a bump? When does it happen most often, when you hit a bump, during normal driving conditions, only in the rain/wet weather, etc? Please be more specific in describing the problem so it'll be easier for everyone to address. (I'm not being an ***, I'm just trying to figure out what may be causing the problem, and was wondering if there was more information available.)

Check your connections. And check for naked spots in the wire causing it to short out.

The best thing for you to do is take it back to the installer that originally did the job. Since you paid someone for it you should have some sort of guarantee. Most people will guarantee ther work for life.
