Kicker 02K69

I have a 2001 Civic Coupe. I replaced the factory speakers with Kicker 02K69. According to Crutchfield these are supposed to be easy fit, but they don't, they rub on trunk springs/cross members not real sure what you call them. I know the fix is to put spacers in but it seems like the speakers are almost touching if not already touching the rear dash. So my question is, is there room for the 1/4 inch spacers back there, before I buy them?

As cheap as spacers probably are, why not buy them and try it anyway?

I would think so though, especially if the top side of the speakers have a fairly low profile.

I don't remember clearly, but when I did mine, I remember having ample clearance on top, so I think 1/4" spacers would work for you.
