AMP Failure possibility. Wires?

Arrow AMP Failure possibility. Wires?



This is a diagram of my Kenwood Amp. One is a subwoofer and the other four are just regular speakers.

Anyway, the last speaker is not shown, and instead you can see two wires that would connect to the speaker. They are identified by red arrows.

If these two wires connect to each other while the amp is on and operating, is it possible to cause damage to the amp?

It has happend several times to me and lately i have noticed decrease performance in my sound quality all together, particuarly in the sub and rear speakers where this incident has happened.

So, if the two wires with the red arrows connect while the amp is on, does it do any damage? thank yoU!
