first check to ensure the power and ground are properly connected. grab a paperclip or piece of speaker wire and with the car off, go to the amp and bridge together remote and +12 voilts. the amp should kick on.

if it doesnt, then the power wire isnt connected, or the amp is blown. check the power and ground at the amp terminals with a multimeter. if it reads 12 volts, the amp is blown. if it reads zero, then the wire is the issue.

if the amp kicks on right away, then the problem is the remote wire. perhaps you used the wrong wire.

does the amplifier only turn on with the radio, not the cd player? or just not at all? if it only turns on with the radio, the blue wire is connected, not the blue wire with the white stripe from behind the radio.

if it doesnt come on at all, grab that DMM. disconnect the remote wire from the amplifier, and have a buddy turn on the radio from inside while you ground one side of the meter and hold the test lead to the remote. should kick up to 12 volts. if it doesnt, repeat this, but right behind the radio.

if the radio remote reads 12 volts but not at the amplifier, the wire is broken in line. if neither reads 12 volts, the radio is broken and needs repair.

good luck!

I bridged that remote and 12volt together.. and the amped turned on... subs are workin.... okey, if i try to splice the remote wire behind my cdplayer.. the amp doesn't turn on when I have it on radio or cdplayer... i remember there were like 3 wires that were blue n white.. n i tried them all.. n it still didnt work... i havent tried all those other stuff... duno what dmm ur talkn bout..... cud my remote wire be broken because my aftermarket radio was refurbished.. (got it at the kenwood outlet) a long time ago.... rite now.. i just used speaker wire and bridged the remote n 12 together to turn it on.. then put connectors on the end of the wires so i can disconnect them to turn them off.. but damn this gets ghetto after a while... so .. theres nuttn i can do huh? cnt buy new remote thilng for my radio?

a dmm is a Digital Multi Meter, itll read voltages coming from certain wires. another thing to try is if you have a spare turn signal, dome light, headlight, any sort of light, you can wire one of the two wires to the remote output form the radio, and ground hte other. if the light lights up when the radio is on, you found yoru remote wire, and the cd player works, but the connection is bad somewhere between the radio and the amp.

if you cant get the DMM to read 12 volts, or can t get a spare light bulb to light up, then its the radio thats broken, and youll need to splice into the ciggarette lighter to turn teh amps on and off.
