Alpine - iPod Head Unit

I was wondering if anyone new about when Alpine is coming out with their iPod compatible head unit. I really want to get one of these.

Its sweet as hell, you just attach your ipod to the special conector and the head unit not only controls your iPod allowing you to play all your mp3's through your system, but also charges your iPod at the same time.

if anyone has anymore info about this head unit please post. Thanks

I've heard alot of good things about it, unfortunately, haven't been able to find any info. Definitely something I would be interested in, as I own an iPod

Jay - I have a CDA-9811 and my IPOD is connected through the AI-Net cable (aux input). My IPOD came with a wired remote which makes it very easy to control it.

Any Alpine with the AI-Net interface should be able to connect this way - allowing you to save $$$ while still being able to run your IPOD through your car audio system

Coop, I have the same connection for my iPod, but Alpine is supposedly releasing a HU that will control the iPod through the HU, which is a much better interface.

New IPOD users will benefit - I didn't purchase the 9811 with any intent of needing the aux input - I was burning CD's at the time and the IPOD was an unexpected purchase. I was glad to find out about the aux input - I would have been forced to upgrade to something else otherwise.

I work in the industry, don't expect he Ipod compatible HU's for another 3 mos or so. But...when they come out they will dominate. Alpine is the only manu with a direct connect for both IPod and XM, their new gear just owns! Just ask for my prices and I'll gladly help any 7th gen members out!

wish I had waited - if this were a year ago I would have purchased a deck and amp through you. Bought a CDA-9811 and just last weekend upgraded an amp to the MVR-F340.
