Blew Sub need suggestions
one tempest would require a box minimum 4.5 cubic feet in size, rather than 2.5ish.
now, a 4.5 cubic foot box for the same port area would need a port alot alot smaller, granted, but not 2 cubic feet smaller!
here are the two tempest boxes I was running when I had a single one, one is 4.5 tuned to 28, the other 4.5 tuned to 23 Hz:

the advantage to running a pair of isobaric as opposed to one regular was that it halves neccesary box volume. the disadvantage is that as the boxvolume decreases, the port length needs to increase, for a constant port area.
its all a big bummer. you could always run isobaric tempest in 2.0 sealed! no port required!

and believe me, tempests sealed will have a BANGIN low end...
when i had 3 shivas (12" version of the tempest) in my vic in right under 6 cubic feet sealed, i could get some nasty output in the in the 14-20 hz region

single tempest in 4.0 sealed. you wouldnt BELIEVE how loud it gets off 600 rms or how low!
considering its an entry level home theater speaker that retails for $150!
