Parking Lights!!!!!
I have a big question for any one !!!!
ok, here is the Headlight

Now, I want it to go like this.
When I turn my parking lights on, I want just the light in the lil cirlce to turn on.
Then when I turn the headlights on, I want the Parking light and the headlight to go on.
I do not want the light where the blinker is to be on.
The only time i want the blinker light to be on is when I turn my blinkers on.
Does anyone have this.... or know how to do this...
Help Me out all u 7thgeners!!!!

With 7443 lights, I think there are 4 prongs on the bulb base... one for hi beam/flashing and one for constant. You have to cut off the prongs for the hi beam.
Either that, or buy a bulb with a similar base that does not have a high beam intensity (look for only one coil inside the bulb, not two)(you might have to shave the base down).
When you put it in, it shouldn't turn on unless you blink.
PM jackscivic for more info.

haha.... Yea your right. For some reason I was thinkin about my homies ride.. cuase his bulb is flat.. but thats a older year... N E ways I did do it... I just wanted to konw how other people may have done it... I finished yesturday.. it was a easy task! IT was a DIY that I wasnt sure if anyone else had done.
defiantly easy thing to do. all you do is put in 7440 bulbs, you may have to shave off the side but its no big deal at all, if yo u look at it you will see exactly what i mean and smack yourself for thinking it would be hard! pm me if you need more help!
ok basically the 7440 bulbs ahve a single filiment in the bulb where as the 7443 bulbs have a dual filiment. so by putting in the 7440 bulbs in the turn signals eliminates the filiment that leaves the turns aliminated. therefor all you have is the filiment that blinks when you turn your turn signals on. its that simple. to do this you buy any type 7440 bulb ( reg. white, hyper white, or even colored if thats what you want ) and they youll see the hubs on the side of the bulb. you take sand part and sand off the hubs so it can jsut slide right in to the holder. thats all there is to it. its totally legal too bc the law states that you must have white OR amber facing foward. and to top it off if a cop decides to mess with you you can point out the fact that some cars dont keep there turns illuminated straight from the factory. and there are also some cars that dont even have visible amber colors on the front or side at night. if there is something that wasnt coverd then jsut let me know!

yeah one of my taillights went out yesterday. i bought some 7443 bulbs. tried to put them in, they wouldn't fit. i realized i needed 7440 actually. comparing the 2 bulbs, i figured out which prongs i needed and bent off the other 2 in my car. bulb fit like a champ. dunno what all this sanding talk is coming from...
that dual filiment on the front pisses me off too. maybe next time i have the bumper off i can actually change those bulbs out.

02civic_rida is right. you and i just have different ways of doing it. wither way gets it done tho. oh and nice pic!
DoubleDeuce2k2 you dont ahve to take off the bumper to change out the lights. you can unscrew the one clip in the wheel well and reach right in there and do it! it might help the turn your tires too.

Can someone let me know if that attachment works.. Im at work and for some reason it doesnt show it and I cant download it. I hope that it is correct for you guys.
I have done the same to my car a long time ago but I took a different approach.
I took some 7443's and bent the 2 inner wires to be parallel to the 2 outer wires. That way, when I turn my blinker on, both filaments light up. That's how it is stock, and is brighter. My blue bulbs blink white instead of blue.

you could always just cut the plastic holder thing off the 7440 bulb, saves a lot of sanding time. get some wire snips, and clip it at the corner, bada bing, bada boom blinking only.
