Wiring door speakers

How do u wire the door speakers to an amp, i got new speakers for my doors and back deck and i want to run the wires to the trunk to hook up to an amp in the future..i want to have the wires back there so when i do get the amp i can just plug them in and have them boosted by the amp, but for no have the radio run them....thanks

just slice into the wire and run one back to the amp right?

You could do that, but you need to make sure that when you hook up the amp you have the wire that runs to the radio disconnected from the wire coming off the amp, otherwise you can fry the radio.
