Head Unit Installation HELP!!

hi,

I have installed several head units on several different cars in about 7 years, but i have never had difficulty removing the dash for a HONDA 2001 CIVIC EX. HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET THIS THING OFF???

IF YOU CAN POST PICTURES, THAT WOULD HELP, I got to get this thing off soon....
thanks,
ron

Ps. I have the center console off, glovebox, and cigarette lighter piece off. NOW WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE? I CAN STICK MY HEAD IN WHERE THE GLOVE BOX USED TO BE AND SEE THE STOCK RADIO, BUT I CANT GET IT OFF, WHAT ELSE NEEDS TO COME OFF, THANKS

There are a couple bolts I believe. Just search around the posts. I think there's a DIY for this to the left under DIY->audio.

there's a DIY for it here, im pretty sure its in the DIY section, if not, click the flashing red button at the top that says search and type DIY. if you've already got all that stuff off though, its fairly simple. there are two bronze/goldish colored bolts if you look up inside the behind where the cig lighter piece was. take those two bolts out (8mm) and there are 9 pressure clips around it. get something such as a wrapped flathead screw driver, and get it under a loose edge on the bezel, it pops right out. the diy has pics, but this is a quick description. also, you didnt have to remove the center console.

ROOM, WE HAVE PLENTY, KICKERS NEED 1.5 EACH IN THE L7, AND WE HAVE 12.1 CUBIC SPACE IN OUR CAR, I WILL ONLY USE ABOUT HALF OF THE TRUNK

TRUST ME, THIS IS MY 7TH YEAR INSTALLING CAR STEREO BOXES, BUT I HAD major trouble with that dash, wiring and box building is easy, taking the car apart without ****n it up is the pain in the *** lol

isnt this guy the same one posting that said he already had his stuff in the civic in the hl dimming thread? so you started the install on the third of feb at almost 9 o'clock pm, and calculated the box for 4 15" l7's, cut it out, assembled it, waited on glue and everything to dry, covered it, installed a hu, amp, 2 batteries, alternator, and 2 caps, 2 sets of comps, basically took every piece of trim out of the car, put the box in the trunk, wired everything up, put everything back together, and was rolling at 4:10 on the 4th of feb. in 19 hours, you got all that done? either you are lying, it looks like ish, or you work fast as hell. which is it? if this is true, post pics of your install, please, i'd love to see what a 19 hour install of all this stuff looks like, especially since at the beginning of the time frame, you didnt even know how to take out the stock HU.

If he can work that fast, he should be in the Installers Challenge
