rubberized undercoating
can anyone tell me how much one can will do? i've got some fatmat on my doors already, but want to add some more deadener into the hard to reach areas, and this seems like a good way.
also how much should it cost? i looked at expanding foam and see it's about $5, but i dunno about this undercoating stuff. thanks for the help.

expanding foam (great stuff brand found at walmart, lowes, homedepot) should be around 3.50, rubberized undercoating (mayhyde brand(same co that makes bondo) is about the same price at autozone/advance/pepboys/etc

I used a can to spray all four wheel wells. Make sure you get the bondo paintable one, because the other kind smells terrible and doesn't go away!

what would work best on the actual panels inside the car? i want to stop rattling, but also want to lower road noise at the same time. once it warms up i'm gonna hit just about every panel with one or the other (undercoating or foam) plus i'm gonna foam up the trunk lid (fatmat didn't hold on there for some reason).
on a side note, does anyone elses door lock rattle? my rear ones don't, but i noticed lately that both the front ones rattle when i hit bumps.

Have you been to b-quiet.com? They have a foam padding called v-comp, but you need spray glue to stick it down. It doesn't smell, either.
For the door locks, you can put a small piece of ept foam where the lock slides in it's hole. You'll see what I mean once the panel is off. Works great, unless it falls out.

yeah, i used paper towels and duct tape to prevent my doorlocks form rattling.
as to removing rattling from other parts of the car, Im a fan of buying 20 cent bath towels from walmart and stuffing them between whatever is rattling, then replacing the panel.
works like a champ!
